If privacy is important to you, Firefox like other web browsers has a feature called incognito mode. Incognito clears your search, web browsing history and cookies when you close your browser. This tip shows you how to open Firefox in incognito mode using the terminal

Open your terminal and enter the following command in Linux

firefox --private-window


If you wanted to launch a particular site, for example https://mycomputertips.co.uk you would enter the following command
firefox --private-window https://www.mycomputertips.co.uk
